Part One: Girls Only
We’ll meet the actresses behind Girls Only: The Secret Comedy of Women, now at Charlotte’s Stage Door Theater. The show began as a piece of improvisational comedy in Denver and has hit the road to reach women… and a few men… with its offbeat, very “girly” humor. We’ll find out how the show got its start and about the response the actresses are getting from women… and the men who find themselves at their production.

Part Two: Competitive Scrabble
Take a peek into the world of Competitive Scrabble. We’ll find out how the popular board game has morphed into a sport – of sorts – and how adults and students alike are traveling far and wide to compete in tournaments, vying for the championship title and bragging rights for their Scrabble skills.

Hannah Lieberman – Scrabble player and 8th Grader at Randolph Middle School competing in the National School Scrabble tournament in Orlando
Stefan Fatsis – Author of Word Freak about the world and history of Competitive Scrabble and frequent contributor to NPR’s All Things Considered
