On Election Day last week, for the first time in 14 years, Pat McCrory was not on the ballot as a candidate for Mayor of Charlotte. Anthony Foxx, the winner of that election, is now gearing up for his term as Mayor of the Queen City. As Mayor McCrory packs up the boxes in his uptown office, we talk with him about his decade and a half as Mayor, politics and we’ll ask about his plans for the future.

  1. […] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Charlotte Talks, Charlotte Talks. Charlotte Talks said: Mayor Pat McCrory Exit Interview. We sit down with McCrory to look back on his 14 years as Charlotte Mayor, Tuesday. http://ow.ly/AHyL […]

  2. Pat McCrory’s claim that he dislikes self-righteousness hit me as hypocritical. The three times I attended the Charlotte City Council meetings, I (and all the audience) were subjected to a prayer that opened the meeting. There is nothing more self-righteous than elected politicians in a free, secular society propping themselves up by publicly calling on any god as they carry out their public duties.
