We’ll talk about making a hit movie into a Broadway production and then taking it on a national tour. Cast members from the national tour of Legally Blonde and the producer joins us. They say the musical is not just fun, perky and pink but that it has a positive message for teens.

Regarding the question of the cost of seeing a show on Broadway; no doubt there are tangibles and certain intangibles that benefit patrons sitting in The Majestic or some other NY venue. Still, there are cost drivers specific to doing shows there. Among those specific cost drivers, how much does the union contribute to this additional cost? And more broadly, what value do the higher costs bring to the show in terms of production values?
