Tuesday November 11 | Charlotte at War

November 10, 2008 at 10:12 am | Posted in Coming Up | 1 Comment

On this Veteran’s Day we look back at Charlotte’s history with American wars. From the moment British General Cornwallis described our region as a “Hornets Nest” of resistance during the Revolution, Charlotteans have put down pitchforks, plows and their briefcases and taken up arms to defend American interests. We’ll take a look at our veteran’s commitments and sacrifices.

  1. I was actually looking forward to this show but that was squashed in the first minute when Collins couldn’t restrain his political correctness and just had to unleash statistics on black and female veterans. Equality means no special call-outs. It’s shameful and was enough for my MP3 player to jump to the next news broadcast.
