We are very pleased and flattered to have received the Critic’s Pick for Best Radio Show in Creative Loafing’s Best of Charlotte 2008 edition.

WFAE’s daily talk show Charlotte Talks, hosted by Mike Collins, isn’t the hippest program on the air, but you can’t deny its reach. No, the show doesn’t play the hottest tunes, but whenever Collins talks to local or national personalities, or discusses a pressing issue, you can be sure that thousands of folks will tune in and listen up. Creative Loafing Best of Charlotte

Yes, it’s true.. we may not be very hip but that’s not important to us. We’ll leave that to Ace & TJ, who won the Reader’s Pick for best radio show. What is important to us is providing our listeners with conversation they can’t hear anywhere else on the Charlotte dial- thoughtful, informed and engaging dialog about the issues that are significant and influential to the Charlotte region. We’re flattered to have been recognized by Creative Loafing.

We also want to congratulate WFAE’s own Lisa Miller, who won Best Radio Personality for her compelling news coverage. She is a fantastic reporter and we’re lucky to have her as part of our outstanding news department at WFAE. Congratulations, Lisa!

  1. No surprises here– topical, thoughtful and personable, your show is an asset to our region. I am glad you are rebroadcasting, only wish I could call in the evening!

Thanks for Not telling us what to think, letting us make up our own minds and special thanks for not yelling at us, or talking down to us!

    It’s called conversation. Thanks again
