In the face of rising gas and airline prices, many Carolinians are opting to take their vacations much closer to home – or in their actual homes. We’re joined by travel experts who will talk about some great vacations close to and in the Charlotte region. We’ll also talk about the growing trend of “staycations,” or vacations people are taking in their own homes.

      I just wanted to chime in and let you all know about a wonderful 3 day trip we just took to the Yadkin Valley. We started collecting wine glasses from all the different NC wineries and visited over 6 wineries in 2 days! All but one (in Dobson) were very friendly and very affordable. We highly recommend the winery tourism in NC! It was lovely. We also went to Mayberry aka Mt Pleasant and strolled through downtown.
